Our sweet little boy was born on January 19th @ 6:24 p.m. He weighed 6lbs 6oz and is 18.5" We love him to pieces. I had a planned C-section scheduled for a week later but had been contracting for a few days so we did the cesearan early. This recovery has been wonderful compared to what we went through with Aurora's, I love C-sections. Lux is just perfect, and has added so much love to our home. I am so glad he is a boy I had no idea i was in for such a treat. There is a special bond I feel with him I am so Blessed. His big sister is so cute with him and whenever he cries she wants to hold him and make him better. I am grateful for such an amazing husband who does a great job of taking care of us all, I love him so much. I think it is neat that with each child more love is felt between Dan and I. What a perfect plan. I want to thank my mom and Natalie for taking such great care of Aurora while we were in the hospital and for taking care of me now that I am home. Lux means Light in latin and that is exactly what he is adding light and love to our lives.

Disneyland

Dan took us to Disneyland in the middle of December. it was so much fun I hadn't been since i was 11. I feel so spoiled we have been wanting to go for a long time. Aurora was at the funnest age, we enjoyed watching her enjoy it all so much. She loved meeting all the Characters, especially the princess' and fairies. She would get shy and put her finger in her mouth with this little smile... it was adorable. Dan had a little crush on a few of the princess' himself. And even though I was 9 months pregnant I still did all the rides without going into labor. We love Disneyland!

We Love Texas

Dan drove the long 20 hours to texas all by himself and our awesome Maxima that has over 260,000 miles road like a champ! We were glad he made it safe. Aurora and I followed him 2 days later. I was a baby sissy boo boo pants saying bye to my mom and dad I just love them so much and am going to miss them so much...the plane ride went great. Aurora was super social and we were best friends with everyone on the plane. Luckily it wasn't crowded so we were able to move all around. She looked out the window and started going To To To To witch translated means tweet tweet tweet. We made a great friend Scott who is from Dallas and Aurora was putting her Tiara on him it was funny. Our Apt. is nice it is big and opened with a fun balcony that we color with our side walk chalk daily. We have gone to the pool almost everyday it is freezing cold water but that doesn't stop a 1 1/2 year old. We are playing with our great friends all day. It is pretty much a vacation for us two girls. Dan is out doing his sales and doing awesome. We love that he is such a great worker so we can shop and lay out ;) hee hee
A really cute story when we first walked into our new home for the summer within the first 2 min. Aurora walked over to the pantry opened it up and said Bompa... were Bompa with he arms up in a question. My Dad a long time ago came over and hide in our pantry at home... Aurora loved it and obviously hasn't forgotten her sweet Bompa. It melted my heart.

okay Aurora has always been a big flirt with the boys, but her and Nick have a special little connection. From the very first she has just loved nick to death... she always runs to him and gives him the biggest longest cuddels. it is so sweet. he is really cute with her, So when we got to the apartments she was pretty excited to see her boyfriend. We love ya Nick.

Knock Knock

In March on a warmer day then most I decided to take Aurora to the temple grounds so we could walk around on the grass and enjoy being outside for a moment. She took off running straight for the temple doors and without any hesitation started to knock! it melted my heart to watch her. Her fourth word she ever said was "Jesus" and when we got to the temple I kept telling her that this was Jesus' home, I don't think she needed me to tell her... she knew. Although it was windy, she loved walking around... she acted like it was completely her domain. It is little moments like this, watching my 1 year old and seeing how close she is to the spirit that really touch my heart and testify of our Fathers Plan. I'll always remember this day that Aurora was ready to Have her Brother invite her in His house. I can't help but think that I need to be more like her and Run to his Door and knock as loudly as I can for him to let me in.

Texas Baby

One day Dan came home and said he wanted to go do summer sales I said ok! So we are moving to Dallas Texas to sale APX alarms. Okay it didn't go exactly like that but pretty close. We are so excited for this new experience. Dan can't stop talking about it, he is going to do awesome and I can't wait to hang out at the pool with Lola everyday. We have really met some wonderful people and look forward to spending the summer with them. We really feel that this has all worked out just perfectly and that Heavenly Father is always watching over us. My testimony is constantly being strengthened to see the Lord's hands in all things no matter how big or small. I'm grateful that he truly cares about our everyday decisions.

Valley of Fire

Aurora and I spent a week in a half at the Valley of Fire in Nevada with my dad. He just had hip surgery and wanted to recover in the sun and we were the lucky ones to go with him. Thanks Dad we love you. Dan, my mom, my sister Nat and her family and Dans family came and spent the weekend with us. It was so beautiful and warm.

Aurora was so fun this Christmas season, she loved opeing her presents almost as much as I loved watching her. We got to spend Christmas in Cedar with Dan's family it was wonderful to all be together.

I love thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. I love my family so much. I feel so fortunate to have such a loving and caring husband, a happy healthy daughter, wonderful parents and awesome siblings.

After helping mom make rolls, and Maman (mamo) make gravy little aurora got onery. She wanted to eat not cook.

In my mom's kitchen. She is the best cook in the world. I am so lucky to learn from her. We thought we were pretty special to all have aprons.

It is a fact that Turkey makes you sleepy and we have proof.

Trick or Treat

Aurora was hilarious. I didn't know if she would be old enough to get the trick or treating concept.. she caught on so quick, at the trunk or treat she first didn't want to put the candy in her bag, she wanted to eat it, but once she caught on she would go to the next car and sweetly say THANK YOU then to the next THANK YOU. it was so sweet. Dan was an old man with his two kitty's to keep him company.

Thanks to my awesome brother and his wife we got to go to lake powell with them and some friends it was a blast. It was my first time going (except for when i was one - that doesn't count) We had so much fun. Our little Chicken turned one (on Aug. 13th) It was such a wonderful day, they say the party is just for the mom's and that is fine with me I loved every minute of the party I threw. We had a polka-dot theme I'm pretty sure Aurora would have picked that theme. She was so cute while opening her presents she got into it and would pull surprised and excited faces with each new gift. We gave her a baby and she kept saying baby baby... so cute. She got the cutest smile on her face during Happy Birthday and thanks to her awesome cousins she didn't have to put forth too much effort to blow out her candle. She dug right into her cake the fondant didn't even get in her way she downed it like nothing we also gave her some of the cupcakes to get frosting all over. Thanks to all our family for their fun gifts and sharing this special memory with us. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE AURORA WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

making out with my daughter in her crib - it doesn't get much better then this.This is Aurora's little rock star out fit that she looks so darn adorable in. She loves to twirl in the skirt.
We love hiking and camping this was on our way to the old saw mill up logan canyon where they got all the wood to build the Logan Temple.
On Aurora's month bday's I have taken her picture with this elephant. it has been so neat to watch her grow. She is so full of personality she makes us laugh all day long with her cute charm.
This actually says it all - i feel like all we do is feed this face she seriously can eat more then me it is amazing. She loves food so much it is hard to get her to stop so we are usually eating around the clock; every now and then she has to take a little break to catch up.

Mas Burrito

She is our bottomless pit - She eats and eats and eats... she likes everything. it is a blast feeding her because she loves it all. This was during a FHE picnic up the canyon - she wasn't satisfied with Dan's rice and the inside of my bean burrito - I set it down to give her some tator-tot and she grabbed the burrito so fast we didn't even see her.

First trip to the ER

Oh it still makes me sick- I can't talk about it without crying... anyway about a month ago I was getting ready for a fireside I was talking at - I ran down stairs to grab a few more pictures for my talk when Aurora pulled herself up on our iron guest bed and fell. She hit her cheek and above her eye. We both bawled!! I called our 1st counselor to let him know I couldn't make it and we headed for the ER. Aurora quit crying in a couple minutes while I kept crying the entire time. They super-glued her cut closed (thank goodness they didn't have to do stitches) She has healed pretty good - there is a little red scare, but hopefully with time we won't see it at all. She sure is patient and extremely tuff. I feel so bad, it is a good thing we have Dan because I don't do very good when she gets hurt.

Moab

We went with Natalie and Buck to Moab. It was so beautiful. I love hiking - Delicate Arch is one of my favorite places in the world. Aurora Stayed awake through the entire climb up until we turned the cornor to see the Arch. We watched Mia and Gage while Natalie, and Buck had work meetings. We stayed in a gorgeous cabin. I wish Moab was only an hour away and I would go every weekend.

Beach Cruiser Birthday

Dan way spoiled me for my birthday and bought me the coolest beach cruiser ever. I have wanted one since before my mission. I just love it too. We go on family bike rides almost every evening and I take Aurora during the day a lot of times with my sister and her two kids. Thanks Dan for an Awesome birthday.

2 Year Anniversary

Our 2 year anniversary was April 8th I suprised Dan and got us a night stay at Little America his favorite Hotel. We took our little Chicken and had such a blast. Our life is so much fuller with her in it. I love my husband so much. I am so grateful to have him forever. We enjoy every part of life together. Yay for 2 wonderful years and lots more to go.

Easter was great this year. Aurora got all sort of fun things in her basket, but what she liked the most was the plastic grass. She would grab it and pull a funny face and then put it straight to her mouth. I got her these cute little bunny ears that she looked hilarious in. We got to spend time with both sides of our family which made it that much nicer.

Arn't they beautiful. I love this picture. Dan is such an amazing father, so loving, patient, kind, and fun. He comes home from work or school and gives both of us a kiss and then he will take Aurora with him wherever he goes. He sits on the floor and will play with her and her toys; Aurora just loves it. He sings her songs, reads her stories (that he usually makes up). I love watching them together. Aurora just loves her Daddy.

Love is in the Air

I love Valentines day. It use to be the holiday I would dread - it seems my heart was broken more than not, all up until I met my sweetheart - Daniel does such a great job making this day special. I think it is so great that we set a day aside to wear pink, write love notes, put hearts on the wall, and share our love. Besides I like any excuse to decorate the entire house pink! lol

I spent the day getting ready for my Pink Valentine Party I would be having the next day with the girls and kids. Dan had school - he came home and suprised me with beautiful flowers and an outfit he picked out all by himself. (see picture) I was way impressed because I had looked everywhere for a pencil skirt and couldn't find one, but he did - I was so excited. We got dressed up, dropped Aurora off at Natalie's and enjoyed a romantic dinner at Hamilton's. It was the perfect Valentine Day!

My Pink party the next night was a lot of fun all of us dressed up in pink ate yummy food, and lots of candy. We missed the husbands but they had a blast snowmobiling in the Uinhtas!

Our spontaneous trip

Last Saturday night at about 7:00 we (mostly Laura) spontaneously decided we would go to Salt Lake on a short little trip. We crashed Doug and Pam's Valentine get away at the Residence Inn in down town. We made the most of the three room suite and Doug and I comptemplated the best way to enter the swimming pool 5 stories down from the balcony. We still haven't confirmed the best idea... stay posted until summer.

We got up and went to Music and the Spoken Word at the Taberbacle. It was wonderful. A special guest lady from somethinabesastan got a picture with Aurora and just kept saying "cute baby". We went to the church history museum and later on enjoyed our favorite restaurant - PF Chang's. Yum!!

Baby's First Christmas

We had such a fun Christmas. Having a baby makes it that much better - Aurora was so fun and happy while we celebrated with family. She is forsure the best present we got!! The Latimer side of the family gathered at Natalie and Bucks house for our Christmas Eve tradition of eating the best food ever, opening presents, and playing Bingo. Buck and Natalie had our family and spoiled us by making us a grandfathers clock that is gorgeous, and they got aurora a princess blanket with sleeping beauty! We slept out at my Mom and Dad's house with Lars, Nicki, Allie, and Baby Brooke. We don't have a chimney and they have two so we made it easier for santa to come. Christmas morning was exciting Aurora, Allie, and Brooke opened their presents from santa. Aurora impressed us by wripping off the bows to her gifts. We exchanged family gifts.. I got a new camera - yay. We spent most the day playing Lars' wii - I am not a fan of nintendo - i only like the really old school one that has Mario 1 - but the wii is the greatest invention made it was hilarious watching my mom play tennis and my dad box!
That evening we drove to Lindon to be with the Reed's. Aurora was so happy to be with more loved ones - we played lots of games and opened more gifts.
We are so grateful for our families and the fun we have with them. The greatest gift of all is knowing through our Savior we can be with them forever.

Aurora's Baby Blessing

What a Beautiful day this was - Thanks to everyone who came and to my mom and dad for having the dinner at their house. Aurora's blessing was perfect - Dan did such a good job expressing the love that Heavenly Father has for her. She looked like an angel in that long white dress. My grandma McIntyre whom I was named after made that dress - the embriodery is magnificent. She put lots of love into that pretty dress. Many little girls have worn the dress including my cousin Rakell, my sister Natalie, myself, and my nieces Alyssa, Mia, and Vivian. It is neat to be apart of this baby dress legacy. And thanks to our good friends Errin and Bryan Stevenson she had a cute head bow, and beautiful little shoes.
We will cherish this day forever.

We are so excited to share our fun little life with our friends and family through this blog thing. Our life is so beautiful - we are extremely blessed!

Our little update....

As you can see we have a tiny little princess in our family - AURORA REED was born on August 13th she only weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz and was 19 in. She is such a delight to our family. Her spirit has brought so much love to our home. She is such an angel who sleeps 9-12 hours a night - yes we know we are spoiled parents... she loves to compete with her daddy to see who can "coo" the loudest. Her smiles melt everyones heart, and the sweetest thing is that she is a little shy so everytime she smiles she hides her head - then looks up and smiles again. Just this month she has started to giggle - as many of you know there isn't anything cuter than a tiny laughing baby. We named her Aurora because it means sunrise or dawn - however she took on the meaning of Sleeping Beauty - and is yet to see the dawn! hee hee

what else?...

We moved up to Cache Valley in January '06 and bought our home in Nibley in July. I am very fortunate to stay home with baby Aurora. Dan is going to Utah State studying Accounting - he is crazy busy with 19 credits - and manages to bring home the bacon. We are looking forward to our first Christmas in our first house with our first baby - a year full of firsts.

We are very happy in this stage of life and look forward to sharing more about what is going on at the Reed residence with you. Have wonderful Holidays!
